- Marc Albrighton involved in West Brom’s win
- George Hirst’s Ipswich victorious in League 1
- Three Leicester City youngsters play in League 2

The Spaniard opened his La Liga account at Estadio Benito Villamarín on 27 minutes, assisting Juan Miranda’s goal seven minutes later. William Carvalho added his name to the scoresheet in the second half to wrap up a convincing victory for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Pérez played 90 minutes before being replaced by Willian José late on as Betis moved back up to fifth in the standings, one point ahead of Villarreal, prior to facing Osasuna on Saturday (12pm kick-off).

Hamza Choudhury helped Watford to a 2-0 Sky Bet Championship win against Bristol City last weekend, featuring across the 90 minutes of action at Vicarage Road.

Harry Cornick’s own goal set the Hornets on their way, while João Pedro doubled the lead early in the second half. Chris Wilder’s men remain just inside the top half of the table with another home fixture, against Cardiff City, coming up on Wednesday (7:45pm kick-off).

Marc Albrighton appeared as a substitute during West Bromwich Albion’s comeback success at Stoke City on Saturday, which keeps the Midlands club in 11th position in the second tier.

The 25-year-old has made 33 Championship appearances for Watford this term.

Jacob Brown broke the deadlock for the home side, but Jayson Molumby’s second half double turned the game around and sent the Baggies home from Bet365 Stadium with three points.

Albrighton’s introduction came in the 81st minute as a replacement for John Swift. West Brom travel to Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night, tackling second-bottom Blackpool at 7:45pm.

In Sky Bet League 1, George Hirst played 72 minutes of Ipswich Town’s emphatic 6-0 win over Charlton Athletic at Portman Road. Conor Chaplin scored a hat-trick, alongside two from Freddie Ladapo – who replaced Hirst – and a goal from Leif Davis.

That result moves the Tractor Boys up into the second automatic promotion spot, one point above Sheffield Wednesday and one behind leaders Plymouth Argyle. Hirst could be in action again on Tuesday evening when Town host Port Vale (7:45pm kick-off).

Ben Nelson helped Doncaster Rovers secure an away draw against Harrogate Town in Sky Bet League 2, with the centre-back playing 90 minutes at The EnviroVent Stadium.

Rovers held a two-goal lead courtesy of strikes from Aidan Barlow and Luke Molyneux, but were denied all three points by Luke Armstrong and Tom Eastman.

Polish 'keeper Stolarczyk has been a regular between the sticks for Hartlepool.

Doncaster travel to Stevenage on Tuesday night (7:45pm kick-off). They sit 14th prior to that fixture.

Stevenage defeated Kasey McAteer’s AFC Wimbledon 2-1 at Lamex Stadium last weekend, with the Leicester youngster playing 90 minutes for the travelling Dons.

Jordan Roberts and Jamie Reid scored either side of Ali Al-Hamadi’s equaliser, leaving 19th-place Wimbledon without a win in four prior to hosting Swindon Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Elsewhere in the fourth tier, Jakub Stolarczyk's Hartlepool Town fell to a 2-0 reverse at Newport County. First half goals from Omar Bogle and Mickey Demetriou consigned the Pools to a first defeat in nine games.

Away to Salford City on Tuesday evening (7:45pm kick-off), a win at Peninsula Stadium could move the north east club back out of the relegation zone.
