- Leicester City welcome Everton to King Power Stadium on Monday (8pm BST kick-off)
- Kelechi Iheanacho is set to miss that match with an adductor injury
- Jonny Evans (infection/calf) and Ricardo Pereira (hamstring) are progressing well
The Foxes host Everton at King Power Stadium on Monday evening in a huge clash at the bottom of the Premier League. Both teams have featured inside the bottom three over recent times, despite City's taking four points from a possible six.
Iheanacho was injured in the build-up to Jamie Vardy's late equaliser and is now likely to be out for the near future.
"He’s got a tear in his adductor muscle," Smith informed the media on Friday. "He’s out for a number of weeks. I’m not going to rule him out for the rest of the season, but it’s going to be tough to get him back. Hopefully we can.
"It’s a blow. He came on at half-time against Man City and did ever so well. He played really well in the Wolves game as well. He scored the penalty and created chances.
"His all-round displays have been really good, so it’ll be a loss, but it’s an opportunity for others."
Club captain Jonny Evans, on the other hand, is likely to return to training soon, while Ricardo Pereira's recovery from a hamstring complaint is progressing well too.
"Jonny, we’re hoping to have train tomorrow. He hasn’t trained for a couple of weeks. He had a viral infection and then a calf injury. Ricky is still progressing nicely. He should be back soon."
