On the final day of the U18 Premier League South season, the young Foxes travelled to the capital to face the Lilywhites at Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre.
Looking to bounce back from the 4-2 defeat by Aston Villa four days earlier and finish 2022/23 on a high, the side coached by Adam Barradell suffered an early setback when Gabriel Han Willhoft-King opened the scoring. The hosts then doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time, via Tyrese Hall.
A half-time switch saw Toby Ononaye introduced for the Foxes and, within four second-half minutes, they halved the deficit. Treymaurice Nyoni assisting Josh King to pull a goal back.
It was all square once top scorer Amani Richards equalised just after the hour mark. Substitute Ononaye soon had Leicester ahead for the first time in the game, but there was late drama to come.
Oliver Irow converted a stoppage-time penalty to ensure Spurs took a share of the spoils at the end of a pulsating encounter.
The result sees the young Foxes end the season in seventh place in the standings, having collected 24 points from their 22 league matches.
