A trip to Carrington Training Centre awaits as the Foxes youngsters aim to finish a difficult campaign on a high. West Ham United came out on top in City's previous game, a 2-0 defeat at Rush Green last Friday, while Man Utd drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur on the same day.

It was the side coached by Ben Petty who triumphed when the teams last met last month, as Brandon Cover's dramatic stoppage-time winner saw the hosts claim all three points at LCFC Training Ground. Chris Popov and Tawanda Maswanhise also netted in Seagrave.

The Red Devils sit higher in the table, though, currently 10th, on 29 points from 25 matches, while Leicester are 14th, on 15 points from 24 matches.

Petty reflected on the 2022/23 campaign and outlined what he hopes to see in the final two games: “Next season, I think we’ll be better for these experiences. It’s been a very tough season, we all know that, but it’s the end of a cycle and we have to build on what we’ve done this year.

“We knew that the end of the season was going to be really difficult with the three away games. We’re working really hard on the training ground.

“It’s very tough in this league and what I want from the last two games is that endeavour and enthusiasm to really compete and to learn as much as we can and have a fresh start next season to get on the up again.”
