Luke Thomas played 90 minutes as England Under-21s concluded their UEFA EURO U21 group stage campaign with a 2-0 success over Germany.

First-half goals from Cameron Archer and Harvey Elliott wrapped up a comfortable victory at Batumi Arena for the group winners, who had already confirmed their spot in the knockout stages of the youth competition.

Leicester City full-back Thomas was making his first appearance at this summer's tournament, and helped Lee Carsley's side keep a third consecutive clean sheet and maintain their 100 per cent record, having already beaten Israel and Czech Republic by the same scoreline. 

The Young Lions will now turn their attention to facing Portugal in the quarter-finals this Sunday - a 5pm BST kick-off at Ramaz Shengelia Stadium.
