The Syston native, a graduate of the Club's Academy, was named in Lee Carsley's starting XI for the Young Lions' second meeting of the summer with Israel at Adjarabet Arena in Georgia. After wins over Czech Republic, Israel, Germany and Portugal, England's youngsters were bidding to reach their first European final at Under-21s level since 2009.
In the game itself, Morgan Gibbs-White recovered from an earlier penalty miss to put his nation ahead before the break, while Cole Palmer got England's second after a lengthy wait for confirmation via VAR. Cameron Archer made it three later on.
In the end, it was a comfortable evening for Carsley's young side, who will face Spain in the final on Saturday (5pm BST kick-off).
