- Conor Coady could be in Leicester City's matchday squad this week
- The Foxes take on Southampton at St. Mary's Stadium on Friday (8pm BST kick-off)
- Coady (foot) has not featured for the Club since joining in the summer
The Foxes travel to St. Mary's Stadium on matchday six in the Sky Bet Championship hoping to climb back to the top of the second-tier standings with a fifth win of the 2023/24 season.
Coady has not featured in a competitive fixture for City after sustaining a foot injury in pre-season. The England international, however, has trained with his team-mates in Seagrave this week and may play a part in Southampton.
"He trained with us these last days," Maresca told the media on Thursday. "He has started to be better, to be good. Probably tomorrow, he can be in the squad.
"Conor is so important that even if he is not 100 per cent, it’s good to have him with us. Probably, he can be with us tomorrow but that doesn’t mean he is 100 per cent."
Dennis Praet, meanwhile, remains out with a back complaint, while Maresca added that new signing Tom Cannon has 'some problems' and will not be involved for Leicester in the south coast this Friday.
