Find out all you need to know ahead of Saturday's Barclays Women's Super League clash with Manchester City at King Power Stadium.

After three consecutive wins, Leicester faced what was probably the most difficult test so far, a trip to Leigh Sports Village to face Manchester United. In a physical battle against the Red Devils, City earned a point for their efforts taking their tally to seven. Willie Kirk's side now return to Filbert Way for only the second time this season when they welcome league leaders Man City.

Prior to Saturday's 5:15pm BST kick-off, here is a detailed look into both sides and their current form...

The Foxes camp

The Foxes picked up a point against Man Utd last time out.

The Foxes have experienced a great start to the 2023/24 campaign, with three wins and a single draw in their opening four games, leaving them unbeaten ahead of this weekend's game. One of those wins came in the first Continental Tyres League Cup encounter of this term - against Liverpool at Pirelli Stadium.

City's accumulated points in the WSL have come from two wins, against Bristol City and Everton respectively, before seeing out the 1-1 draw with Man Utd. Aileen Whelan gave Leicester the lead in that game, but moments later a header from Maya Le Tissier settled the scoreline.

New signings Lena Petermann and Jutta Rantala remain the two top goalscorers for Kirk's side, with two goals apiece. Midfielder Aimee Palmer also has two goals to her name already in a Leicester shirt, opening her account against her former employers on the opening day before a first half free-kick against Liverpool in the League Cup.

The opposition

Man City beat Bristol City 5-0 last weekend in the WSL.

This weekend's opponents are currently top of the WSL, leading Leicester on goal difference. They started the season away at West Ham United, winning 2-0 at Chigwell Construction Stadium thanks to second half goals from Lauren Hemp and Jill Roord, who is the Citizens' top scorer with three.

In their first home game of the campaign, they were held to a 1-1 draw with champions Chelsea, after Guro Reiten finally penetrated the Manchester defence, who played most of the game with 10 players, and the final minutes with nine, after Alex Greenwood and Hemp were dismissed.

Having served their bans in Man City's 2-1 League Cup win over Everton, Gareth Taylor's side most recently beat newly-promoted side Bristol City 5-0, and set a new WSL record, scoring five headers in a single match; a tactic that Leicester will have to be wary off when physical centre forward Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw, who scored two goals against the Bristol club, arrives in the East Midlands.

In the dugout

Gareth Taylor is a former Manchester City player.

Welshman Gareth Taylor, manager of Manchester City since the summer of 2020, has won the Vitality Women's FA Cup in 2020, before lifting the League Cup last year. He has also been awarded the WSL Manager of the Month award twice, in consecutive months of February and March of this year after Man City won six games out of eight in all competitions.

The Sky Blues finished fourth in the WSL last term on 47 points, losing out on a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League to Arsenal on goal difference, and therefore Taylor will hoping to keep Man City's recent form alive as they target European qualification.

Leicester faced Man City three times last season, twice in the league and once in Group B of the League Cup. Twelve months ago, the Foxes were beaten 4-0 in Manchester through goals from Hemp, Yui Hasegawa and Shaw's brace.

Earlier on this year, Leicester were defeated 1-0 in the League Cup at Pirelli Stadium, before Kirk's side lost 2-0 at King Power Stadium after second half goals from Shaw and Kelly.
