Swansea City were put to the sword on Saturday, as Enzo Maresca’s side returned from south Wales with all three points, courtesy of goals from Jannik Vestergaard, Kelechi Iheanacho and Fatawu, which led to a seventh consecutive success for the table toppers.

Representing his first goal for the Foxes, the winger could not have been happier with his landmark moment, contributing to a Club record sixth straight away win in the process.

“Right now, I can't even express my feelings,” the Ghanian international said following full-time in Swansea. “I've been waiting for this, and I think there are more to come. I'm very happy for my first goal.”

Attention has quickly switched to the next task in hand, the visit of Tony Mowbray’s Black Cats to King Power Stadium – an 8pm kick-off this Tuesday evening.

We are always ready for the games; we are giving our all and we are going for the win on Tuesday.

With a five-point gap opened up at the division’s summit, Fatawu spoke of the aim to keep their foot on the pedal in the quest for a record start to the season of 12 Championship wins in 13 matches.

The 19-year-old continued: “I'm just assuring the fans that we are going to do more than we've done today (Saturday) on Tuesday. We are always ready for the games; we are giving our all and we are going for the win on Tuesday.

“As a team, everyone is ready. And even if you are not playing, everyone is supportive of the team and, with the squad we have, I think there's no doubt, I'm always proud of the team. Every time we are ready for the game.”
