The Foxes, sitting five points clear at the top of the table ahead of the weekend’s fixtures, welcome Daniel Farke’s upwardly mobile Leeds United to Filbert Way for an 8pm kick-off, looking to continue a run of consecutive league wins currently standing at nine.

It took a stunning late strike from Harry Winks to emerge victorious at Queens Park Rangers last time out, with Hermansen pleased to be able to contribute to another three points. The summer arrival has started all but one of Leicester’s opening 14 league fixtures this term.

“I think we played a good game and were in control most of the time,” the Dane told the Club’s official matchday publication, CITY, earlier this week. “Of course, we’re never happy when we concede but, overall, we created a few chances and thankfully we put a couple away for the win.

“I’m really happy I’ve been given the chance to do the job and do what he (Enzo Maresca) wants a goalkeeper to do in his team. I always try to give my best and perform to suit the philosophy and way he wants me to do things. I’m just very happy to be here and be part of this team. I try to repay the Manager’s faith with good performances and improve for the future.”

The importance of City being at their best against Leeds is not lost on Hermansen, with the Whites climbing up to third in recent weeks, demonstrating the attacking quality they have at their disposal.

We feel like we have some good solutions so we’ll do everything we can to make them work.

The 23-year-old added: “We know what Leeds are coming with and we know the quality that they have. We know we have to be sharp and stick to our game plan. They will probably come and press us high to try to make life difficult for us.

“We just need to keep our calm to keep finding the right solutions in the same way we have done throughout the season. The only thing we can really control is our own performance so we’ll see what the outcome and result will be. We feel like we have some good solutions so we’ll do everything we can to make them work.”
