The Sky Bet Championship leaders were denied victory at Hillsborough on Wednesday after Fatawu’s first-half opener was cancelled out by Jeff Hendrick in added time.
It was a frustrating outcome from the game, which saw the Owls create several opportunities, but the Ghanaian says there’s little time to dwell with another big match on the horizon.
City go to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday to face a Baggies side in promising form.
“We know every game, we take it the same,” he said. “Today was a tough game and it’s not the result we wanted. We’ll learn from our mistakes and go again. There were so many chances and we’re unlucky we couldn’t make it. As the games keep going, we’ll come back.
“I got a goal, but it’s not the result I wanted. We didn’t get it, so I’m not happy. We wanted the win and we drew, but as I said, we’ll learn from our mistakes and keep going. We do this every game. The coach tells us to do it. That’s what we did and it went in, so I’m happy [with the goal].”
Losing two points at the death in south Yorkshire was hard to take for Fatawu and his team-mates, but Leicester’s No.18 is now focused on picking up all three on Saturday.
“I don’t like conceding these kind of goals,” he added. “It’s painful but it’s a game. We’ll take it and we’ll learn. We’re unlucky. I thought [Jannik Vestergaard’s late chance] would be a goal, but it didn’t go in.
“We’re going to go back in and prepare for Saturday and come back stronger and go for the win.”
