Despite a loss on the road to current champions Chelsea during their last outing, the Foxes' confidence remains high after the international break, as they now look to get back to winning ways at Brighton.
In the countdown to matchday, take a look at both camps and what happened last time out...
The Foxes camp
In Leicester's last match, which ended with defeat at Kingsmeadow, City found themselves 2-0 down in the space of five minutes, and did well to fight back, leaving them ruing defensive errors in the capital.
The Foxes did however break through on two occasions, courtesy of first-half goals from Jutta Rantala and Sam Tierney. The act of finding the target has come more naturally to Willie Kirk's side this season, who have only failed to score in one game so far this term.
Last weekend, the news of Hannah Cain's ACL injury shook the Foxes, but the seventh-placed outfit will still head into the weekend confident of getting a positive result, with City's summer recruits firing on all cylinders.
The opposition
Brighton head into the match-up just one point and two spaces behind Leicester, having picked up seven points from their opening eight games, which included two wins against Everton, and more surprisingly, Manchester City last month.
The Seagulls' first win came on the opening day at Walton Hall Park, as two early strikes from Elisabeth Terland guided Brighton to victory over the Toffees. By mid-November, they had recorded their best result of the season, beating Man City 1-0 away from home as a single goal from Geum-Min Lee was enough to dispatch the title contenders.
Terland will be one to watch out for on Sunday as she chases her sixth league goal of the campaign, and City's defence will need to make sure they are on form to keep out a Brighton side who will be looking for points themselves ahead of a trip to Aston Villa next weekend.
In the dugout
Melissa Phillips is currently in her first season at the helm following her move from London City Lionesses, where she spent three years, having first taking on the role of interim manager after Lisa Fallon's departure.
Beating London Bees 2-1 in her first game in charge, she led the Lionesses to a sixth-place finish in her first season before coming second to Liverpool during the 2021/22 Barclays Women's Championship campaign.
Last time out
The Foxes have a good record against Brighton, winning three of their last four meetings, two of which came in the WSL last season. In January, goals from Aileen Whelan, Tierney and Monique Robinson secured a first win of the 2022/23 season.
City then met Brighton on the final day, with an abundance of travelling fans in attendance, knowing that a positive result would ensure safety. A second half goal from youngster Ava Baker kickstarted the celebrations, placing Leicester in 10th, leapfrogging the Seagulls at the final hurdle.
