Leicester City's game plan helped them navigate a tough Plymouth Argyle challenge on Saturday, says double goalscorer Stephy Mavididi.

- Leicester City were 4-0 winners over Plymouth Argyle on Saturday
- Stephy Mavididi hit a brace while Patson Daka and Wilfred Ndidi also scored
- The winger says the Foxes were rewarded for their game plan at King Power Stadium

The young winger netted a penalty early on at King Power Stadium, before adding another strike in the second half, alongside goals by Patson Daka and Wilfred Ndidi, to seal a 4-0 success for the Foxes.

It's a result which keeps City top of the Sky Bet Championship at the early stages of a hectic Christmas schedule which will test both their quality and their squad depth. This was their 16th win in 20 matches in the second tier this season.

"We’ve got a tough schedule coming up so obviously it started how we wanted it to start," Mavididi said. "It was a good win today, a good performance from the team, and everyone’s happy.

"Plymouth are a decent side. We knew the threats they pose. Like every team does, we went through a period where we just needed to be better at managing it. We held out to half-time, regrouped, and then went again.

"We know the quality we have, we know our strengths. We’ve got our game plan so we’ve just got to keep sticking to it like we did. The results will follow. It doesn’t change."

Millwall are next up for Leicester, at King Power Stadium again, and Mavididi remains confident that they can secure another positive result on Wednesday evening.

"Millwall, we know they’re a physical side," he added. "We’re expecting a physical game, but like I said, we’ll stick to our game plan and hopefully we can get a result. We’ve just got to keep putting the work we do in every day.

"We’ll listen to the coaches and make sure recover because there’s a lot of games coming up. We’ll take it game by game and hopefully, by the end of the season, everyone’s happy."
