- LCFC Women face Manchester United on Thursday evening in the Continental Tyres League Cup
- Thursday's fixture has a 7pm GMT kick-off at Leigh Sports Village
- CJ Bott won't be available for the game due to injury, says Willie Kirk
- The Manager also confirmed that Aimee Palmer will be absent through suspension
This Thursday sees Leicester head to Leigh Sports Village for their fourth away game in a row, in action most recently to Brighton & Hove Albion where Lena Petermann and Jutta Rantala scored in a 2-2 draw at Broadfield Stadium in the Barclays Women's Super League.
Now returning to League Cup action, the Manager revealed that he will be without New Zealand international Bott, who was withdrawn early from the draw with the Seagulls, while midfielder Aimee Palmer will also be unavailable through suspension.
"CJ Bott will definitely miss the game, having come off early against Brighton," Kirk stated. "We know there's a bit of an issue with her calf, but we're just going through the more detailed reports from the scan to find out how long it will be.
"She will definitely miss Man Utd, as will Aimee Palmer as she is suspended so we're a little bit light but it provides an opportunity for other players. We'll make a few changes to the starting line-up to keep it fresh.
"Especially at the top of the pitch, as we like to have lots of energy in those areas, but we'll certainly put out a team that we think can win the game."
