- Leicester City's Harry Souttar played for Australia on Saturday
- The centre-back played 90 minutes in a 2-0 friendly win over Bahrain
- Graham Arnold's Socceroos were preparing for this month's AFC Asian Cup
Ahead of the finals in Qatar later this month, the Socceroos visited Baniyas Stadium in Abu Dhabi this weekend to prepare for the group stage, which pools them with India, Syria and Uzbekistan.
An own goal from Amine Benadi put Graham Arnold's men in front in the 35th minute, before a 61st-minute effort from Mitchell Duke put the match beyond Bahrain. Souttar played the full 90 minutes on his 22nd appearance for his country.
The Leicester City centre-back will be hoping to feature again once the Group B campaign gets underway against India at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium next Saturday (11:30am GMT kick-off). Australia have won the competition once, in 2015.
