- LCFC Women face Birmingham City this Saturday in the Adobe Women's FA Cup
- This weekend's match has a 12pm GMT kick-off
- Lena Petermann will miss the fixture with a hamstring injury, says Willie Kirk
Focus returns to FA Cup this weekend as City look forward to a fifth round tie with Birmingham, where a win would see them gain a place in the quarter-finals.
However, they will be without Petermann for the upcoming clash, as Kirk outlined during Thursday's press conference at Belvoir Drive.
"It's just Lena Petermann that is out," he said. "She has a hamstring injury, so she'll miss the games leading into the international break.
"It was an injury that came out of nowhere. She was doing well and transitioning well into our style of play, so it's a shame of course; she had a pull on her hamstring doing high speed runs in the build-up to the Manchester City game. We're not too worried for her, we just need to be careful when we bring her back into the team.
The 45-year-old will be boosted by the return of Welsh international Josie Green, who was omitted from the Man City defeat with suspension.
"Josie [Green] will return," Kirk continued. "So it's good to have her back in the team, and we'll have a strong squad available to us to challenge for a place in the next round."
