- Leicester City were beaten 2-1 by Queens Park Rangers at King Power Stadium on Saturday
- A third league defeat in a row leaves City three points clear at the top of the Sky Bet Championship
- Academy graduate Ben Nelson got the home side's only goal, his first for the Club
- He has reflected on that strike and the need to collect wins quickly
The Foxes have now suffered three league defeats in a row for the first time this season after Saturday's 2-1 reverse to Queens Park Rangers at King Power Stadium. Nelson's first goal for the Club was not enough for a point on Filbert Way.
City were on top for long spells, but the Academy graduate rued their back luck as he reflected on the game at full-time.
"We had all the possession," the Academy graduate said. "We had all the chances. But, at the end of the day, we let them in two times and they punished us, so we're really disappointed about that.
"One lapse of concentration [in the first half] and they were in, we had so many chances and it's not ideal. The second half was more of the same, lots of possession."
Nelson's goal halved the arrears after earlier goals from Ilias Chair and Sinclair Armstrong for the Hoops, although Leicester couldn't muster an equaliser against Martí Cifuentes' in-form west London outfit.
"I felt like it gave us another edge, but it just wasn't enough in the end," he added. "We kept pushing, but it wasn't enough. It would have been nicer if we obviously got the result.
"It's always nice if the Manager is putting so much faith in you, giving you confidence.
"But it's two poor goals to concede so that's the main thing that we're kind of looking at. We were working the ball across, trying to be as patient as possible, looking for that opportunity, but we just couldn't get it in the back of the net."
City head to Sunderland on Tuesday hoping to get points on the board and start to rebuild their advantage at the top. Leicester remain three clear of second and five ahead of third in the second tier.
"We've got to pick ourselves back up; games are coming thick and fast," the 19-year-old explained. "It’s another game soon, so we've got to go into that one with a positive mindset. We've got to just look at the next game now and focus on getting three points."
