Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen kick-started Leicester City's UEFA EURO 2024 involvement in Denmark's 1-1 draw with Slovenia on Sunday.

- Leicester City duo Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen starred for Denmark on Sunday
- They featured as De Rød-Hvide were held to a 1-1 draw with Slovenia at UEFA EURO 2024
- Mads Hermansen was an unused substitute for Kasper Hjulmand's men
- Wout Faes could see action for Belgium on Monday evening

The Leicester City duo were in from the off at Stuttgart Arena in the Danes' Group C opener, with goalkeeper Mads Hermansen named among the substitutes.

It was a fairy-tale moment for Manchester United's Christian Eriksen which lit up the first half in south west Germany, scoring 1,100 days after suffering a cardiac arrest at EURO 2020.

Slovenia's first EURO goal since 2000, though, courtesy of Erik Janža's deflected strike frustrated Denmark late on.

While Kristiansen, who starred on loan at Bologna in 2023/24, was making his ninth senior Denmark appearance, Sunday's outing was Vestergaard's 42nd appearance for De Rød-Hvide.

Denmark's next opportunity for points arrives on Thursday as they tackle England at Deutsche Bank Park (5pm kick-off). The next Foxes star hoping to feature, on the other hand, is defender Wout Faes. Belgium are set to tackle Slovakia in Group E on Monday evening (5pm kick-off).
