- Leicester City's 2024/25 Premier League fixtures have been confirmed
- The Foxes will start by hosting Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium
- Ricardo Pereira says it is now City's task to build on last season's momentum
- He also believes the Blue Army can play a big role in the new campaign

The Portuguese full-back was a central figure in City's Sky Bet Championship title triumph last time around, but all focus is now on the Club's return to the top flight.

Leicester's Premier League return came into focus on Tuesday this week with confirmation of the 2024/25 fixture schedule, starting with a home encounter against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday 19 August (8pm BST kick-off).

Speaking afterwards, Ricardo said: "Seeing the fixtures for the new season has got me really excited and I can’t wait to get started again now.

I believe we will have very good energy from the stands to drive us on to perform at our best and I know the supporters will be behind us all the way.

"We enjoyed a memorable season last year and achieved what we set out to do, so the task now is to carry that momentum and feel-good factor into the new campaign.

"We’re obviously very aware of the Premier League and appreciate the level of opposition we’ll be coming up against, but we’ve got some exciting matches to look forward to, and the support of our fans will be so important to give us that extra boost. Our focus will be on pushing ourselves to the limit and giving our best."

Facing Spurs on the opening day represents an exciting start for the former FC Porto man and, with the backing of the Blue Army, he's optimistic that City can get off to a successful start.

"Tottenham on the opening weekend is a game for us all to look forward to, especially in front of our fans at King Power Stadium," he added. "I believe we will have very good energy from the stands to drive us on to perform at our best and I know the supporters will be behind us all the way."
