Leicester City can continue to build momentum by thriving off April’s packed fixture schedule, says left back Christian Fuchs.

Craig Shakespeare’s in-form Foxes contested the first of eight games this month on Saturday, when they at King Power Stadium.

It will no doubt be a testing run of games for City, but Fuchs believes that his side can use that as a catalyst for recording some positive results, .

Fuchs told LCFC TV: “It’s pretty busy this month, but it gives us more time to play and less time to train, which isn’t a bad thing. That’s why we play football – to have one game after another and one challenge after another.

“We were talking for a long time about needing to get some momentum going and starting with the Liverpool game, we have it on our side now. We’ve shown some great performances and we want to keep this momentum going.

We’re playing at King Power Stadium, where nobody likes to come to and play us. It’s a hard game and we’re looking forward to it.

In recent weeks, the Foxes have been spurred on by the vociferous Blue Army and are now looking to extend their winning run to six games in all competitions when Sunderland visit King Power Stadium on Tuesday.

“The atmosphere has been insane,” continued Fuchs. “The fans were carrying us to one win after another. They were great in those couple of games and it all started against Liverpool.

“Obviously with the Sevilla game and qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, they’ve been outstanding moments in my career and everybody else’s career.

"I’m looking forward to many more of those moments at King Power Stadium this season.”
