- Christian Fuchs reflected on two important results for Leicester City following Saturday’s win over Hull City
- The Foxes beat the Tigers 3-1, with Fuchs on the scoresheet in the first period
- City now sit 15th in the Premier League table, five points above the bottom three
Christian Fuchs praised Leicester City for a productive week after they earned six Premier League points from fixtures against Liverpool and Hull City.
After a 3-1 win at King Power Stadium on Monday, City recorded a win by the same five days later.
Back-to-back victories sees the Foxes climb up to 15th in the table and with a two-week break until their next Premier League fixture, Fuchs reflected positively on his side’s last two results.
“The most important part is that we have six points and that we have another win today,” Fuchs told LCFC TV after the game.
“We just wanted to get those three points and it was a good goal and a good combination. You can tell that there’s a certain spirit in the team and that helped us in the game.
“We were 2-1 up and had to dig deep again. Hull are a good side and play good football but we defended as a team and luckily we scored the third goal.”
Despite not contesting another league fixture until Saturday 18 March, Fuchs is already eyeing more points on the board, as City seek to retain their top-flight status.
He added: “We’ve still got a few games to go and we want to get some more points on the board. There’s 11 more games and we want to get as many points as possible.
“We have another game in a couple of weeks [against West Ham]. We obviously want to stay in the Premier League so these were two good steps in the right direction.”
