It was a magical start to the campaign for the young Foxes, who dispatched the Baggies in expert fashion through goals from Olabade Aluko, Laolu Omobolaji, Josh King and a Jake Evans brace.
The action started early on at West Bromwich Albion Training Ground, with Aluko finding the net 11 minutes in. Evans doubled Leicester’s lead, scoring from the penalty spot before finding his second just minutes later.
Omobolaji made it 4-0 to the visitors before the interval, rounding off a great half in Walsall. West Brom came back into the game, a trialist scoring twice to half the deficit, but a second City penalty was soon to be converted from King, completing the scoring late on.
Having come out on top in a seven-goal thriller, Leicester head home for consecutive fixtures, first of all when they meet Reading in Seagrave on Saturday (12pm kick-off), before welcoming Manchester United to LCFC Training Ground next Tuesday in a Premier League U18 Cup fixture (12:30pm kick-off).
