Following the recent international break, domestic football has continued, and provided plenty of opportunities for our loan players to get some game time away from Leicester City.

Over the last weekend, five Foxes have been in action, one of which was central defender Harry Souttar, who played 90 minutes in a 2-0 win over Hull City for Sheffield United; Gustavo Hamer and Sam McCallum scoring at MKM Stadium.

Currently sixth in the Sky Bet Championship, the Blades' next fixture sees them take on Derby County at home on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off).

Also in Championship action was Tom Cannon, who played 74 minutes as Stoke City lost 1-0 to Oxford United on their travels to the Kassam Stadium. Midweek action was also on the cards for the on-loan forward, as the Potters welcomed Fleetwood Town to the bet365 Stadium for a third round fixture in the EFL Cup.

Michael Rose opened the scoring for the home side before a late, injury-time winner, from Rhys Bennett sent the game to penalties. Cannon was introduced into the game just after the hour mark and was one of the five to step up for a spot-kick, but couldn't convert. However, Stoke still went through, winning 2-1 on penalties.

In Sky Bet League 1, young winger Silko Thomas played 76 minutes in an emphatic 4-0 away win against Bristol Rovers at Memorial Stadium; Joe Hugill scoring twice in their second league win of the season. Doubling their points tally to six, Silko has the chance to feature again on Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm when Wigan travel to Lincoln.

Brandon Cover, who joined Sky Bet League 2 side Port Vale for the season, got a full game under his belt in a narrow 1-0 win over Chesterfield as Ethan Chislett scored early on at Vale Park.

The Leicester City Development Squad midfielder now faces Accrington Stanley at home on Saturday afternoon with a 12:30pm kick-off, as they look to build on their eighth place position.

The final loan player in action was Sammy Braybrooke, who got 25 minutes off the bench for Dundee FC, as they lost 2-0 to Ross County at Global Energy Stadium. Currently sixth with six points, the Dark Blues face tough opposition in the form of Rangers on Saturday evening (5:30pm kick-off) at Ibrox Stadium.
