A 4-0 victory over Stoke City saw Leicester City's Development Squad continue their fine early season form on Friday evening.

Goals from Henry Cartwright and Logan Briggs, either side of a Jake Evans brace, saw the young Foxes claim all three points in Premier League 2 and make it three consecutive wins across all competitions.

Having beaten Middlesbrough on home turf just four days earlier, the side coached by Leon McSweeney were back in action at LCFC Training Ground and wasted little time making their mark against the Potters.

Jake Evans and Logan Briggs were both on the scoresheet.

Cartwright converted a seventh-minute penalty to put Leicester in the ascendency and a flurry of goals followed ahead of the interval. Firstly Evans pounced on the half-hour mark, before doubling his tally three minutes later.

Briggs got in on the act with 10 minutes of the first half to play, set up by Toby Onanaye and that was enough to see off Stoke and keep a first clean sheet of the league campaign. It moves City up to eighth in the table after five matches, having won three matches.

Henry Cartwright was clinical from the spot.

Next up in PL2, there’s a trip to Blackburn Rovers to face the Lancashire side at Leyland County Ground next Friday (7pm BST kick-off).
