Switching lanes to the League Cup, Leicester host the Robins at Pirelli Stadium as they look to kickstart their Group D campaign, in which Birmingham City and Brighton & Hove Albion make up the pool.

Wanting to bounce back from an unfortunate defeat to Arsenal last weekend in the Barclays Women's Super League, the former Stade de Reims Manager is hoping the team show the same intensity and positivity that could've earned them a point against the Gunners.

"We are going to prepare like any other game," Miquel started by saying. "We want to be good defensively and good on the transitions and offensively to give as much trouble to Bristol as we can.

The Foxes are hunting for their first win of the season.

"We're taking every game seriously, the idea is to be as strong as we can, whether it is Arsenal or Bristol City. We'll train and prepare the same so that we put in a good performance for the fans."

Naming the same starting XI in both WSL fixtures so far, the midweek matchday offers an opportunity for other players to potentially come into the squad, and stake their claim in front of the new Manager.

"The chance we have now is that we have three games in a week so it gives the chance for other players to get some game time and show what they can do," Miquel continued.

"We have a squad of 25 players who have a lot of quality, so I'm not worried about making changes, because we have good players who can come in and who deserve a chance to impress."
