- Leicester City entertain AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday
- The Foxes will be without midfielder Hamza Choudhury, says Manager Steve Cooper
- Choudhury dislocated his shoulder in training earlier this week
- Jannik Vestergaard is back in training after a short spell away
The Foxes welcome AFC Bournemouth to King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, a 3pm BST kick-off ahead of the next international break in 2024/25.
Ahead of that clash, the Manager hosted the media in Seagrave and gave an update on the condition of his squad, picking out Choudhury to report on.
“Unfortunately Hamza dislocated his shoulder in training yesterday,” Cooper said. “It was a very unfortunate innocuous situation so we’re still working out the extent of how long he will be out. It’s settling down but he certainly will be a little while.
“Whether that’s weeks or months, we’re not quite sure yet. He’s no longer with us [in training]. It’s a really unfortunate situation. It was just a normal duel, a normal challenge, no foul or anything like that, and unfortunately his shoulder ended up on the wrong side of an awkward position.”
Vestergaard, though, is back in training with the Foxes after a short spell away.
“Jannik started training fully today, so he’s back with the group,” the Welshman added. “There’s been a couple of kicks on some players that we’ve managed through the week that have not trained yet. Hopefully they’re just getting over that now and we’ll see if they’re available for the game.”
