This weekend, the Foxes look to turn things around, following a 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace, when they travel to Aston Villa, who are also sitting on one point after three games in the WSL...

The Foxes camp

Following the Foxes.

City have endured a tough week of fixtures, first losing on penalties to Bristol City in the Women's League Cup on Wednesday night before struggling to find their rhythm against Palace at King Power Stadium.

Their only point so far coming at Liverpool on the opening day, new Manager Amandine Miquel is on the hunt for a first win of her Leicester career and will hope it comes against the Villans this weekend.

The opposition

Rachel Daly has three goals this term.

Three games into this campaign, Villa started their season with a narrow 1-0 loss to Chelsea, before picking up their first point against Tottenham Hotspur in a 2-2 draw at Villa Park; Beth England denying them all three points late on.

Most recently, Villa were on the wrong end of a 4-2 scoreline against Brighton & Hove Albion. With both sides reduced to 10 players, a brace from Rachel Daly, taking her tally up to three, wasn't enough to prevent defeat.

In the dugout

Robert de Pauw is searching for his first WSL win.

This summer saw Robert de Pauw take charge of the Villans, following his time at Bayer Leverkusen whom he guided to a sixth-placed finish in the Frauen-Bundesliga with 31 points last term.

Other clubs on the 43-year-old's CV include FC Twente and a stint with the Netherlands youth team before moving to the Midlands, as he looks to push Villa into a new era.

Last time out

Yuka Momiki netted against the Villans last time out.

In six meetings between the two clubs, Villa have come out on top five times, including last year's WSL match at King Power Stadium when an early goal from Daly made the difference.

Most recently, the scores were level when Leicester travelled to Poundland Bescot Stadium in late March when Yuka Momiki and Sam Tierney were on the scoresheet to earn a point.
