Everton are the next side to make the trip to the East Midlands to face Leicester in a WSL clash which could see the victors take a big step towards redemption after a stop-start opening few games...
The Foxes camp
Both sides head into the weekend's fixture with two points on the board and just the one goal scored; Jutta Rantala netting for the Foxes on at Totally Wicked Stadium against Liverpool.
City do have the joint-best defensive record outside of the WSL's top four, conceding four times, most recently keeping a first clean sheet of the term last weekend at Villa Park as they hope to use this as a platform to head into the international break on a high.
The opposition
Currently bottom of the WSL on goals scored alone, Everton are one of four sides on two points, looking for a maiden WSL win of the season, but have managed to claw back some positive performances after starting the season with back-to-back losses.
An impressive point and clean sheet against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium earlier this month got them started, which was followed up with a 1-1 draw at home to West Ham United.
Scoring only once this season, their defensive capabilities, including work from 'keeper Courtney Brosnan, has kept the Toffees in the hunt for a resurgence up the table.
In the dugout
Danish Manager Brian Sørensen resides in the Everton dugout and is looking to get back to form after a slow start to the campaign which has included two draws and two losses, similarly to Leicester.
Taking charge of the Merseyside club in summer of 2022, the 44-year-old has overseen 59 matches, winning 19.
Last time out
Leicester have won three of the last eight meetings between the two sides, including both WSL games last year. Triumphing 1-0 on Filbert Way courtesy of a Lena Petermann goal, before a Janice Cayman strike made the difference at Walton Hall Park.
They also faced off at Pirelli Stadium for a Women's League Cup fixture in January of this year as City romped home to a 5-1 win over the Toffees; Sam Tierney, Deanne Rose, Shannon O'Brien, Missy Goodwin and Rantala making up the five goalscorers.
