LCFC Women Manager Amandine Miquel confirmed that forward Jutta Rantala has sustained an injury that will keep her sidelined for the visit of Everton this weekend.

- Saturday's match at King Power Stadium kicks off at 3pm
- Jutta Rantala will miss the fixture while Hannah Cain's recovery is going well, says Amandine Miquel

One game remains for City before the international break, as Miquel aims for a first win of her Leicester career, when Everton make the trip to King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon (3pm kick-off).

Hoping to build on a first clean sheet of the season against Aston Villa last time out, the French Manager told the media that everyone that played at Villa Park is doing well, but confirmed the continued absence of forward Rantala.

"It was a physical game, but everyone that played has trained well and is doing well ahead of the weekend," Miquel stated in Thursday's press conference.

Jutta Rantala was last season's top scorer and scored on the opening day against Liverpool.

"I don't have a duration of time for how long Jutta [Rantala] will be out for but we are looking at a mid-long injury, and she won't be available for the short term."

One player that is getting closer to being in contention for selection is Welsh forward Hannah Cain, who the former Stade de Reims Manager said is progressing well and could come back into the squad soon.

Miquel added: "I don't know when Hannah [Cain] will be back in the matchday squad but she is progressing well and she is very close to being available for a matchday selection, but she's been out a while, so we will have to see."
