- The Nigeria international is keen to look forward rather than back
- Ipswich Town are up next in the league, after facing Man Utd in the Carabao Cup

As attention turns to a busy week of fixtures for the Foxes, beginning in the Carabao Cup against Manchester United this Wednesday, before travelling to face Ipswich Town back in the Premier League on Saturday, both provide opportunities for Steve Cooper’s side to bounce back quickly from the 3-1 defeat.

While there is little time for reflection, the midfielder was keen to pick the positives and is hopeful that City can get back on track soon, given the good form they have displayed in recent weeks.

“We just keep trying,” the Nigeria international outlined. “We will just look on the positive sides and then the ones we need to improve on, we look towards the next games. It's another huge game (against Ipswich).

“Losing this one is a reflection to try to go on to the next one and see what we can get on that one because it gives us more confidence to look forward after that.

“We've got great players in the team, so we've got a good team, and I believe we can actually get something in the next one.”

After an even first half against Forest on Filbert Way, in which Jamie Vardy cancelled out Ryan Yates’ opener, the away side were clinical in the second period, with Chris Wood striking twice to take the game away from Leicester.

“This was a disappointing game, especially as it was a derby and we needed that one,” the 27-year-old admitted. “It was really disappointing because we tried as much as we can to get the points, but it didn't go our way.

“I think the atmosphere was amazing, it was enjoyable, but we just didn't win the game. It would have been brilliant if we had won the game, especially because we were at home, but it was a difficult one.

“We did so well in the first half and then, early in the second half, the goal they scored just changed everything. We tried to keep the ball and tried to get back in the game and then they scored again.

“Especially with the way we played, we played really well, trying to keep the ball and then trying to create chances. We just need to look forward to the next one, and try to see where we can improve.

“It (the second goal) was a real blow, but we had this belief that we're going to come back again. We just need to keep going. The game was still there for us and then the third one came.”
