And it was Monga who broke the deadlock inside just 10 minutes at LCFC Training Ground, quickly followed by turning provider for the second - midfielder Louis Page doubling the advantage to see Leicester move into a commanding position early on.
Henry Cartwright then converted a penalty midway through the first half, putting City in complete control. Villa managed a consolation in stoppage-time to prevent a clean sheet; Bradley Burrowes scoring for the visitors in Seagrave, but it was the Foxes who claimed all three points.
The result moves Leicester into 11th, inside the top half of the PL2 standings, on 12 points from eight games. They face Northampton Town at Sixfields Stadium on Tuesday in the Bristol Streets Motors Trophy, before heading to Coventry City next Friday for Premier League Cup action.
