Staying in Africa, there will be opportunities for both Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu to play in Ghana’s latest qualifiers, beginning with a match-up against Angola at Estádio 11 de Novembro on Friday night (7pm kick-off), before Monday’s opponents Niger travel to Accra Sports Stadium for a 4pm kick-off.
The Black Stars require a win in both fixtures to stand any chance of qualifying for the main tournament, having picked up two points from their opening four fixtures.
Crossing to South America, Facundo Buonanotte has been included in the Argentina squad for upcoming fixtures against Paraguay and Peru, part of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
Thursday’s clash at Estadio Defensores del Chaco in Asunción has an 11:30pm kick-off time, while the iconic La Bombonera is the venue for the meeting with Peru at midnight next Wednesday.
Over in Europe, two Foxes centre-backs could face off in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday night, as Wout Faes’ Belgium come up against Caleb Okoli’s Italy at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels (7:45pm kick-off).

As for Denmark, they return to action against 2010 world champions Spain on Friday (7:45pm kick-off), with Mads Hermansen, Victor Kristiansen and Jannik Vestergaard all contenders for a place in Brian Riemer’s first game in charge of the national side at Parken Stadium.
Three days later, Serbia are set to host the Danes, who sit second in League A Group 4, at Dubočica Stadium (7:45pm kick-off).
Goalkeeper Danny Ward could add to his international caps in Wales’ final two Nations League matches, away to Turkey on Saturday (5pm kick-off), before playing Iceland at Cardiff City Stadium next Tuesday (7:45pm kick-off).
