- The midfielder made his debut during the 2-1 Emirates FA Cup Third Round victory at Goodison Park
- Ahmed Musa netted a brace to win the game for his side
Wilfred Ndidi has already noticed the character flowing through the Leicester City squad after making his debut against Everton in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round on Saturday.
Recovering from a goal down following Romelu Lukaku’s 63rd-minute strike, the Foxes emerged as 2-1 winners thanks to Ahmed Musa’s four-minute brace.
While pleased with his own performance, Ndidi was thrilled to kick his City career off with a victory and was impressed with the spirit his side showed to mount a comeback against a strong Toffees outfit.
“It felt good,” said Ndidi of his first City appearance. “I’m really happy because the lads showed good fight.
“It was a nice surprise [to make my debut], but I just had to be ready. Every time in training, I always try to do my best.
“We showed great spirit. With this fight, I think we can do well. The group performance is more important than my performance. I always hope the group can perform, then look at my performance.”
