Winger Tom Lawrence took his tally to five goals in his last three appearances for Ipswich Town after netting a brace in the 3-2 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

The Wales international, currently on a season-long loan at Portman Road, started his rich streak of goalscoring form with a stunning 30-yard strike against Queens Park Rangers in early January.

Lawrence followed that up with a double in the Emirates FA Cup clash with Lincoln on Saturday 7 January, forcing a third round replay after equalising with just four minutes to play.

Another brilliant long-range effort from Lawrence then came against Blackburn after the wideman had already put Ipswich 1-0 up in the first period.

Meanwhile, another young Fox gaining experience while out on loan is midfielder Michael Cain, who has now made 14 appearances for League 2 outfit Blackpool.

Cain completed 90 minutes in the 1-1 Checkatrade Trophy draw with Wycombe Wanderers and could next feature on Tuesday evening when Gary Bowyer’s men head to Barnsley in the FA Cup.
