Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has called for his side to remain focused during Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen at the Parken Stadium.

A victory over the Danish champions could see the Foxes advance from Group G with two games to spare.

It would be an amazing achievement for the Club during their first-ever campaign in the Champions League, but Ranieri wants his men to concentrate on the task at hand.

“We know the Copenhagen side is very strong,” Ranieri said. “They lost just one match this season, against us. It will be a very good battle for us tomorrow (Wednesday).

"I understand everybody wants to win tomorrow but for us it’s important we have everything in our hands.

“We can write a new chapter of the Leicester story but maybe it's not tomorrow. It's important to concentrate because Copenhagen are well organised.

"I respect them a lot. We are very close to achieving something special.”

The Foxes head into the game on the back of two impressive results in the Premier League, having beaten Crystal Palace 3-1, before drawing 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

“It was the best away performance,” Ranieri said on the draw with Spurs. “We lost against Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea but sooner or later we had to change our style of mind.

“We played so well away and I hope also tomorrow. We know very well they are strong. They have lost only once this season – against us. It will be a very good battle.”
