The 20-year-old centre back was a key figure for Steve Beaglehole’s successful Development Squad last season, with his influential performances through the centre and right side of defence helping propel the team to a sixth place finish in the league.
An athletic and powerful defender, blessed with impressive speed, Sesay will be looking to continue a progression that saw him make his Football League debut while on loan with League 1 side Colchester United last season.
Sesay linked up with the U’s in January 2014, and made his first appearance as a half time substitute in a late 1-0 defeat at home to Nigel Clough’s Sheffield United side on 25 February.
The youngster went on to make two starts against Bristol City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, while the 2013/14 campaign also proved to be a standout one for him in a Leicester City shirt – ending in April with a fine display in a battling 3-2 win over Manchester City at King Power Stadium.
