Joined by Leicester City fans, staff, celebrities and Vice-Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, Birch raised thousands of pounds for the LCFC Foxes Foundation and their chosen charities for the 2014/15 campaign.
Reflecting on the efforts of everyone involved, the Club Ambassador told Foxes Player: “It doesn’t get any easier, but what a great occasion coming from where we’ve been to seeing what I’m seeing now. The owners have been terrific all the way through the Football Club.
“The run was hard but it’s not about the run it’s about raising their money for the charities and this is a massive bonus. We’ve won 5-1 on the last game of the season and we’re already safe. It’s like folklore!
“It’s all about Leicester City fans, the Blue Army and what they collect. The buckets are full, it’s brilliant. Every year they’re full. I’m really proud of the city, the fans and the Club. This just tops it off, it’s absolutely brilliant.”
He added: “To the fans, I’ll say have a good summer and enjoy it, because you’ve been just as big a part of this success as the team have. This is the best atmosphere I’ve ever known in 40 years supporting this Football Club.
“It sends shivers down your spine. We needed you when we were down there. The players never gave up hope and this is brilliant, what a way to round the season off.
“If you’ve missed the collection buckets and you want to donate, it’s for five great charities, there’s still ways to donate.”
