- Lithuania international striker previously spent time out at Nuneaton Town last season
- Oldham next face Bury in League 1 on Saturday
Leicester City youngster Simonas Stankevicius has linked up with Sky Bet League 1 outfit Oldham Athletic on a three-month loan deal.
The striker makes the switch to Oldham for his second loan spell, having already enjoyed time at Nuneaton Town last term.
Alongside possessing attributes that make him a powerful targetman, Stankevicius is also a full international for Lithuania. In March, he came on against England in front of over 80,000 people at Wembley in what proved to be an excellent experience for the young forward.
Stankevicius finished the 2013/14 campaign as top scorer for the Club’s Under-18s, adding more goals to his tally after making the step up to the Development Squad last season.
Now, he heads to Oldham, who are unbeaten in League 1 and next face a trip to Bury’s Gigg Lane on Saturday.
