- Australian youth international enjoyed a 21-game spell at Mansfield Town last season
- Elder could make his Peterborough debut when they host Gillingham on Saturday
Leicester City Development Squad defender Callum Elder has made the move to Sky Bet League 1 side Peterborough United on loan for a month.
Elder is a versatile defender who can operate at either centre half or left back and knows the rigours of the Football League having helped Mansfield Town retain their League 2 status in a 21-game loan spell last campaign.
Australian youth international Elder, 20, has been an ever-present for Steve Beaglehole’s Under-21s this season, most recently netting a late equaliser in their Barclays U21 Premier League draw against Everton on Monday.
Elder now links up with a Peterborough side who currently sit 18th in League 1 and next entertain top-of-the-league Gillingham at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday.
