- City take on Pandev at Stadion A.F.K. Spartak Kbely on Tuesday morning (10:15am BST kick-off)
Trevor Peake’s men opened with a 1-0 success over FC Nitra, courtesy of George Heaven’s solitary strike, but defeat to Pandev ensured it is the Macedonians who progress to the semi-finals.
A double from Mustafic Alen in the 5th and 26th minutes consigned the young Foxes to their fate in Prague on Saturday but Peake has been encouraged by the performances of many in his squad.
“I was delighted with the performance against Nitra,” he said.
“When we arrived in Prague we had the same objective as everyone else, to win the tournament. We go into every match with the same aim, to win.
“I thought we coped really well with everything Nitra had to throw as us which was very pleasing.
"We’ve got some new faces within the group, whether they’re on trial or joined us from the lower age groups and they have blended in with the lads very well.
“The work we do here will do everyone good ahead of the new domestic season back home.”
