- Leicester City's Harvey Barnes scored from distance for Barnsley at Sheffield Wednesday
- Young defender Elliott Moore also helped OH Leuven to a 1-0 victory over Union Saint Gilloise
- Left back Callum Elder featured for Wigan Athletic against Blackburn Rovers in Sky Bet League 1
- Frenchman Nampalys Mendy also appeared for Nice in a 3-0 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain
Barnes, 19, was one of four Leicester City loan stars to appear over the weekend, which also included another valuable victory for Elliott Moore’s OH Leuven in Belgium.
At Hillsborough on Saturday, Barnes impressed again for the Tykes as Paul Heckingbottom’s side collected a valuable point in south Yorkshire.
Barnes, the Club’s 2016/17 Development Squad Player of the Season, first struck the bar before cancelling out Adam Reach’s effort with a magnificent effort from 25 yards after 67 minutes - his third strike of the campaign.
"For me personally, I was very pleased to see that one go in," Barnes told his adopted club's official website, barnsleyfc.co.uk.
"Emotions are high when you score, especially like that, so I just thought when it went in 'head over to our fans' and so I went to celebrate it with them. It was a special moment.
"I'd say it's probably my best goal, considering the occasion as well."
The Sky Bet Championship side next travel to Pirelli Stadium to tackle Burton Albion on Tuesday evening (7:45pm kick-off).
Elsewhere, Moore started as Nigel Pearson’s Leuven remained level on points with Belgian Proximus League leaders Beerschot Wilrijk with a 1-0 win over Union Saint Gilloise.
After 64 minutes on Saturday evening, Kenneth Schuermans broke the deadlock at King Power at Den Dreef Stadion to put OHL on 26 points after 13 matches.
On Sunday, Herman Vanderpoortenstadion will be the venue for Leuven's next fixture, against Lierse (3pm kick-off).
Left back Callum Elder also played the full match as Wigan Athletic drew 0-0 with Blackburn Rovers to stay within a point of Shrewsbury Town at the League 1 summit.
The Latics take on Crawley Town in the Emirates FA Cup First Round on Saturday afternoon at 3pm.
Finally, midfielder Nampalys Mendy featured for over an hour on Friday night as Nice suffered a 3-0 reverse at the home of Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.
Edinson Cavani scored twice in the absence of Neymar before Dante's own goal after the interval in Paris.
Mendy will hope to appear once again on Thursday during an exciting trip to face Lazio in the UEFA Europa League at the Stadio Olimpico (8:05pm kick-off).
