City will discover their opponents when the two sides play their Second Round replay on Thursday 14 December, following a 1-1 draw at Highbury Stadium earlier this month.
The Third Round tie, which falls between Premier League fixtures against Huddersfield Town (H) and Chelsea (A), will also be broadcast live on the BBC.
Sky Bet League 1 side Fleetwood are currently 11th in the third tier while Hereford occupy fifth place in the EvoStik South Premier Division.
Claude Puel’s men have suffered only one defeat in their previous 10 games in all competitions, recently beating Burnley 1-0 in the Premier League at King Power Stadium.
Last season, victories over Everton and Derby County helped the Foxes progress to the Fifth Round of the competition.
