The 26-year-old forward found the net on three occasions last month while also providing two assists as City solidified their position in the top half.
Mahrez’s first strike of December came from distance during a 3-2 triumph over Newcastle United at St James’ Park before adding another stunner in a 4-1 victory at Southampton.
After setting up Jamie Vardy to score his 50th Premier League goal, City’s first in a 2-2 draw with Manchester United, he later repeated the feat at Liverpool too.
His final effort of 2017, meanwhile, was a well-placed header for the Foxes during a narrow 2-1 reverse at Watford on Boxing Day.
During the calendar month, the Algerian international enjoyed a successful pass percentage of 78 per cent in 594 minutes of top flight football.
In total this term, Mahrez has scored seven goals in 22 appearances for the Club, playing a role in all eight of his side’s top flight victories.
