- Claude Puel has confirmed that Kelechi Iheanacho sustained a broken hand on international duty
- The Nigeria striker will be assessed by the Club's medical staff on Friday morning
- Leicester City travel to AMEX Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday (3pm kick-off)
- Midfielder Matty James also picked up an Achilles tendon problem in training this week
Iheanacho, 21, was not part of Nigeria’s matchday squad for Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat by Serbia, but his injury is not expected to cause any long-term issues.
Ahead of City’s trip to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday (3pm kick-off), Puel also revealed that Matty James, 26, is a doubt for the clash against Chris Hughton's men.
“[Almost] all the players are [fit],” he said on Thursday. “Just Iheanacho, who has a broken hand, and James. We will see if [Iheanacho] can play with this injury.
"We will see tomorrow in the training session. He fell but it’s not a [bad] injury. We will see if this injury will prevent him from playing [at Brighton] or not.
"It’s not an important injury but it might be strange to play with.”
On James, Puel added: "Matty [felt] something in his [Achilles] tendon and we’ll see when he can come back."
