- Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy wins the Carling Goal of the Month award for March
- Vardy's effort during City's 4-1 victory at West Bromwich Albion is selected by a public vote
- Riyad Mahrez's brilliant free-kick against AFC Bournemouth narrowly misses out
- Both goals are also among the nominations for the Club's 2017/18 End of Season Dinner awards
The England international, 31, latched onto an inventive pass from Riyad Mahrez to cushion the ball beyond Baggies goalkeeper Ben Foster from the edge of the area at The Hawthorns.
Mahrez’s stunning last-gasp free-kick against AFC Bournemouth at King Power Stadium was also nominated for the award, meanwhile, but a public vote ended with Vardy emerging with the honour.
So far this season, the lightning-fast forward was notched 19 goals in all competitions, 16 of which have come in the Premier League, most recently against Newcastle United on Saturday.
Don’t forget, Vardy’s strike in West Bromwich is one of 10 efforts nominated for the Club’s 2017/18 End of Season Dinner awards, in aid of the Foxes Foundation.
