Okazaki made his 112th cap for his country during Wednesday's 2-0 defeat by Ghana and will be on the plane to Russia later this summer.
Japan have been drawn in Group H alongside Colombia, Senegal and Poland, ahead of their first fixture, against José Pékerman's Colombians on Tuesday 19 June.
