- Leicester City must produce another positive Premier League performance on Saturday, says Gray
- The Foxes suffered a narrow 2-1 loss at Manchester United, despite dominating in the first period
- Gray wants the Foxes to impress in their first home fixture of 2018/19
The Foxes were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United in their opening game of 2018/19, while Wolves battled to a 2-2 draw with Marco Silva’s Everton at Molyneux Stadium.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s men swept their Championship opponents aside last term, winning the league by nine points in the process.
Gray believes Wolves have a distinctive style of play, but if City perform to the level that they did against Manchester United last time out, they have the potential to yield all three points.
“They’re a very good team, they keep the ball very well,” said Gray. “We know it won’t be easy and we know what to expect.
“It’s our first home game and obviously we’ve got the fans behind us, so I think as long as we play like we did against Manchester United, we should be fine.”
After finishing ninth in the Premier League table last season, Gray says Leicester are aiming to improve on their position in 2018/19.
“We’re aiming for the top half of the table, of course, and a European place,” Gray said ahead of the match.
“We weren’t far off last season. The manager is very ambitious and expects 100 per cent every game.
“I think it’s only right given all the hard work he puts in, that we give 100 per cent.”
