The Under-23s opened their Premier League International Cup Group B campaign by fielding a number of the Academy’s younger stars at Holmes Park.
While the result was ultimately a source of disappointment, it was nonetheless a valuable run-out for the likes of Tee, Khanya Leshabela and substitute Kairo Edwards-John.
Royals pair Ethan Coleman and Ben House netted either side of half-time to seal the points, but Beaglehole was still enthused by the efforts of three players in particular.
Forward Tee, 18, started for the Foxes in Whetstone and showcased his abilities with the ball at his feet while Kaba Sherif orchestrated his side's midfield efforts in testing circumstances.
Johansson, meanwhile, was called upon to save a Danny Loader penalty in the latter moments after also impressing against Swansea City in Premier League 2 on Monday.
“There’s always positives and I can pick out Lamine and Viktor that I’d say came out with a lot credit tonight,” City's Senior Professional Development Phase Coach told LCFC TV at full-time.
“And Conor, his delivery tonight was fantastic. He’s a young player who’s got a lot of talent.
“He showed great character on the ball against big, stronger, physical players and he did show good technique, game understanding and a desire to make things happen for the team.”
