While Kelechi Iheanacho was denied by Sergio Rico and Wes Morgan twice went close in the first half, the hosts took the lead at Craven Cottage through Aboubakar Kamara

However, Puel introduced Demarai Gray, Iborra and Shinji Okazaki after the break, with all three of them playing a part in James Maddison’s equaliser.

Foxes midfielder Maddison made it two goals in two in the capital for the Club.

Iborra told LCFC TV at full-time: “It was a tough game, I think our mentality before the game was to try to win the game but of course we knew we play against a strong team who are in a difficult moment, the game showed it, it was difficult for both.

“I think in the first half we missed a lot of chances and they scored. In the first half we tried to combat the game, we had a lot of chances and at the end we could’ve scored, but I think the point is fair.”

Personally, I work to play, to help the team, of course I don’t like to start the game on the bench but the manager decides to work to change the situation.

With the Foxes contesting eight fixtures in December, Iborra says now is the time for his side to show their strength in depth.

The Spanish midfielder continued: “I think we have a very good squad, not only 11 players, now in this moment it’s very important to show it because we have a lot of games, we have games every three days.

“We have to be ready of course, players want to play every week and the manager has to decide. Personally, I work to play, to help the team, of course I don’t like to start the game on the bench but the manager decides to work to change the situation.”
