- Leicester City host Manchester City in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday (7:45pm GMT kick-off)
- The Foxes should view the match as a standout opportunity to impress, says manager Claude Puel
- Man City are second in the Premier League and have suffered defeat just once this season
- Live coverage of the tie is available on LCFC Radio from 5:45pm GMT
Pep Guardiola’s men have lost just one of their 17 league fixtures so far this season, scoring 48 goals, and were the side who knocked Leicester City out at this stage last season.
However, despite the size of the task at hand, Puel says the Foxes have several reasons to be confident going into a match which the Frenchman believes is an ‘opportunity’ to impress.
“We know this team and we know these players, I think it’s a team [that has] the ability to improve their play against any opponent,” the Leicester boss told the media on Monday afternoon.
“All the team, all the opponents need to adapt their play against them. It’s strange, with Barcelona, they’re the only team with the ability to improve their game in all circumstances.”
Puel knows the Foxes must be at the very top of their game to seal safe passage into the last four, saying Tuesday’s fixture should be viewed as a standalone occasion.
He continued: “Where is the solution? All the opponents try different things to play down, to play with a strong block, to try strong pressing against them.
“They have all of the solutions. We have to have a good performance and to play a full game against them. It’s a cup game and it’s always difficult.
“It’s a different game than the Premier League games. I think we will have opportunities tomorrow if we play with our intensity, our fighting spirit and togetherness.”
